Who is your Copilot?
Hi there fellow Anim Pilot. I’m Jason Anastas. I’ve been working in the CG character animation business for more than 25 years. I graduated from Sheridan College (Art Fundamentals, 2D Animation & 3D Animation) and have worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios (13 years), Dreamworks Animation (5 years), Rhythm & Hues Studios and more. Most of my career has been character animation on animated features but I’ve dabbled in video games, feature previz and VFX.
I’ve also taught CG character animation at iAnimate for several years (if you’re new or learning animation, please check out iAnimate, it’s an amazing online school with the best instructors in the biz). I really enjoy teaching the next generation what I picked up over all these years (pass it forward). That’s where I discovered a need for help for students, graduates and professionals alike with their demo reels. From that discovery, Anim Copilot Inc. was born.
